Fronius Solar Battery Solutions – Sunshine Coast, Brisbane & Gympie Fronius was founded in 1945 by Gunter Fronius and since then has grown to be a major company with 8 sites in Austria and more than 4,450 employees across international subsidiaries in 28 countries, many of whom are employed in research and development (and sales partners/representatives in more than 60 countries).

Battery charging has always been a part of the heritage of Fronius and the Fronius lithium-ion solar battery is now available.
The Fronius battery is compatible with the following Fronius hybrid inverters:
- Fronius Symo Hybrid
- Fronius Primo Hybrid (when available)
The solar battery uses safe, hi performance lithium-ion phosphate cells manufactured by Sony and comes in the following sizes:
- 4.5 kWhs
- 6 kWhs
- 7 kWhs
- 9 kWhs
- 12 kWhs
The system is expandable meaning you can start with a 4.5kWh battery bank and expand the solar system by simply adding additional 1.5kWh cells until you reach the maximum capacity of 12kWhs. Additional solar cells must be added within 30 months of the original installation to prevent battery cell mismatch. Key features
