Fronius Solar MonitoringNext level monitoring of your solar power system
Fronius Smart Meter – solar power system monitoring device
All Fronius solar systems come with monitoring of the system generation however you can take that to the next level by installing an optional Fronius Meter – with this device correctly installed you can see at a glance exactly how much energy your residential solar power system is producing and how much of that is being self-consumed by your home.
In addition, the Smart Meter can be used in conjunction with the integrated energy relay available in all Galvo, Primo and Symo Fronius inverters to turn appliances on and off when there is sufficient excess power to do so.
Suitable appliances include Stiebel Eltron Heat Pumps, electric hot water systems (with a maximum of a 2.4kW element) and swimming pool pumps.
Data from the meter is available to view on the Fronius Solar.web pro app which is available to download for a small fee, for your Android or iPhone or via www.solarweb.com.
Fronius monitoring without a Smart Meter
Only data available is the amount of power being produced by the system
Fronius Monitoring with the Fronius Smart Meter
With the Fronius solar power Smart Meter you can see at a glance exactly how much of the solar energy generated is self-consuming and how much is being exported to the grid. You can also see a 24 hour overview of the system showing how much power is used throughout the day.

In this blog I will look at a Sunshine Coast home with reasonably large power consumption that had a 6.6kW system installed by SunWorks Solar in mid 2017. This family home has a pool and uses air-conditioning for both heating and cooling. In 2018 the total power...
Solar Inverters contain a lot of electronic circuitry and this needs to be kept cool in order to function properly. As a general rule heat has a significant influence on the lifespan of electronic components and every 10 degree C increase cuts their lifespan by 50% -...
Here at SunWorks, we are often asked if it is worth installing a solar power system and how much will it return. Every Sunshine Coast home is unique and we all use different amounts of power at different times of the day however, unless your roof is heavily shaded, a...
D & M were concerned about rising energy costs and wanted to install a large Sunshine Coast solar power system on their home to offset the running costs of the ducted air-conditioner and swimming pool. After some consultation Sunworks Solar recommended a 17.6kW...
